Panamanian songwriter Erika Ender, globally recognized for co-writing "Despacito," is embarking on a new personal chapter with "Erika Ender: El Musical." The production, running from November 16 to November 29 at Panama's Teatro Nacional, offers an intimate look into her life and career.
Directed by Benjamín Cohen, the musical bravely explores experiences Ender had kept private, such as two divorces and the loss of her uterus. It also highlights emerging talent from TalenPro, a youth platform she established, with the proceeds supporting her Fundación Puertas Abiertas.
In addition to the musical, Ender recently released her first book, "Aprender el Éxito," sharing insights from her career journey. She also continued her songwriting, co-writing "Por Mil Razones" for Paula Arenas' upcoming 2026 album. Her role as a mentor expanded this summer as she became Academy Director for "Operación Triunfo Estados Unidos."
