At the end of the October 12th episode, SNL shared a black-and-white image of Keaton smiling and wearing a collared shirt and tie. The show's official social media account also posted a simple message honoring the late actress. Additionally, host and SNL alum Amy Poehler subtly paid her respects by donning a similar collared look during the episode's farewells.
Keaton's close friend, Sager, revealed that she had seen the actress just a few weeks prior and was shocked by how much weight Keaton had lost. Sager explained that Keaton had spent time in Palm Springs earlier this year due to damage to her home from the California wildfires, and the time away seemed to have taken a toll on her health.
