The 78th Emmy Awards nominations have been unveiled, with the medical drama The Pitt leading the pack with an impressive 25 nominations. The popular comedy series Hacks is not far behind, securing 24 nominations for its final season. British talent is also recognized, with Matthew Rhys earning two lead acting nominations for his work on Widow's Bay and The Beast In Me.
However, the race for best drama series has seen some notable omissions. The final seasons of highly popular shows such as Stranger Things and Euphoria did not make the cut. While Stranger Things garnered seven technical nominations, Zendaya remains the sole representative from Euphoria's cast in the main acting categories.
The series The Bear, though ending its run, earned a spot in the best comedy category. Despite previous wins, its star Jeremy Allen White did not receive a nomination this year. The winners are scheduled to be announced at a ceremony in Los Angeles on September 14, 2026.
