Emmerdale viewers expressed considerable surprise on Thursday as Archie Breckle reappeared on screen with a dramatically altered look. Many fans took to social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), to comment on how unrecognisable the young actor had become, with some stating they had to "do a double take."

The character's return featured an awkward encounter where Archie interrupted his father Jai Sharma's secret lover, Kerry Wyatt. Kerry, believing she was speaking to Jai, confessed to sending a compromising picture, which she then quickly covered up by claiming it was a dog photo sent to Caleb.

Archie, played by Kai Assi since 2019, was originally introduced in 2012. The character was reintroduced in 2019 after his mother's passing. His storyline in the recent episode has garnered significant attention due to the actor's noticeable physical changes.
