Eminem Battles Housewives in Legal Shady Deal

Rapper Eminem is currently engaged in a contentious legal feud with 'Real Housewives of Potomac' star Gizelle Bryant and former castmate Robyn Dixon. The dispute centers on the trademark for their podcast, 'Reasonably Shady,' which Eminem argues infringes on his long-established 'Slim Shady' moniker. This legal back-and-forth has been ongoing since 2023.

Bryant and Dixon recently filed a motion accusing Eminem of avoiding a court-ordered deposition. They claim his team is being difficult with scheduling, offering only a limited two-hour window starting late in the afternoon. Eminem's legal team fired back, asserting that the Housewives are exaggerating the situation and that their insistence on filing a motion over a minor scheduling difference is a deliberate attempt to harass.

Eminem's legal counsel stated that the rapper's studio sessions for new music prevent him from participating in early afternoon depositions. His manager, Paul Rosenberg, provided a declaration emphasizing the disruption and significant expense morning depositions would cause to Eminem's current recording projects. The Patent and Trademark Office has yet to rule on the matter.
