9 Jun
Summary
- Elysian Film Group Distribution Limited is undergoing formal liquidation proceedings.
- The production company, Elysian Film Group Ltd, will continue to operate independently.
- Outstanding debts are suggested as a reason for the distribution arm's insolvency.

Elysian Film Group Distribution Limited, the UK distribution arm of Danny Perkins' film company, is undergoing formal liquidation. This company, established in 2020 with initial backing from CAA, is now subject to an insolvency process handled by FRP Advisory. This indicates that Elysian Film Group Distribution Limited has outstanding debts.
Despite the liquidation of its distribution arm, Elysian Film Group Ltd, the production company, remains active and will continue trading independently. Perkins, who previously led Studiocanal UK, stated that no further comment would be made on the insolvency process or creditor matters.
Elysian Film Group was founded in 2018, and its distribution division later acquired UK rights for films such as Studio Ghibli's 'The Boy and the Heron' and 'Earwig And The Witch'. The company was also involved in the production and distribution of the 2023 Take That film 'Greatest Days', which did not perform well at the box office.
