In the CBS show 'Elsbeth', Anna Camp portrays a 'trad wife' who becomes embroiled in a murder accusation. The character is seen churning butter while the titular detective, Elsbeth, questions her about a director's death. The episode, helmed by director Pamela Adlon, involves the suspicious demise of a filmmaker, whose final documentary subject is this 'trad wife'.
Investigators believe the 'trad wife's' from-scratch lifestyle may have contained a deadly element. This development adds complexity to the ongoing narrative of 'Elsbeth', a series that originated from 'The Good Wife' and 'The Good Fight'. Actress Carrie Preston, who plays Elsbeth, has discussed the show's evolution.
Preston noted that while Carra Patterson, who played Kaya, has transitioned to a different role, her character remains part of the show. This shift aims to deepen Elsbeth's character by introducing new dynamics and potential conflicts. The series continues to feature Elsbeth partnering with various NYPD officers and detectives as she pursues justice.
