Elle Kennedy Reveals Favorite 'Off-Campus' Show Change

Author Elle Kennedy expressed her enthusiasm for a significant change in the 'Off-Campus' TV adaptation, preferring the character Justin as a musician rather than an athlete. This alteration, she explained, felt logical and well-executed within the series' narrative.

Kennedy also highlighted her enjoyment of the on-screen portrayal of romantic tension between Allie and Dean, citing their "wild tension" before their hookup as a development she particularly appreciated. This approach allowed for a more gradual build-up compared to the book's immediate hookup.

While not directly involved in daily production or casting, Kennedy provided feedback on scripts and collaborated with showrunners. She noted that the creative team valued her input, often seeking her opinion on crucial elements that had to be retained from the source material.
