Country music powerhouses Ella Langley and Morgan Wallen unveiled a surprise collaboration during Wallen's "Still the Problem" tour stop in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on Saturday, April 18. The artists debuted their new duet, titled "I Can't Love You Anymore," from the stage, announcing its release date as Friday, April 24. Wallen shared that he was immediately impressed by the song after Langley sent it to him approximately a month prior.
The live premiere featured the pair trading verses before uniting for the chorus of the mid-tempo heartbreak song. This reveal follows subtle hints, including a license plate "ICLYA" in Langley's "Choosin' Texas" video and a previous duet performance of "Sand in My Boots" at Nashville's The Pinnacle on April 7. "I Can't Love You Anymore" is not included on Langley's recent album, "Dandelion," released April 10, prompting speculation about its release strategy.
Both artists are recognized for their successful duets. Langley previously collaborated with Riley Green on "You Look Like You Love Me," which earned an ACM Award. Wallen achieved chart success with Tate McRae on "What I Want." Langley is slated to join Wallen for multiple upcoming tour dates throughout May and August.
