Ella Bright: Why Off Campus Co-Star Romance Is Off Limits

Actress Ella Bright, aged 19, has publicly stated that any romantic involvement with her "Off Campus" co-star Belmont Cameli, who is 28, is out of the question. Bright shared on a podcast that she views Cameli as "literally my brother." She also pointed out that Cameli has a girlfriend, Raina Morris, describing her as "my angel on Earth."

The show, based on Elle Kennedy's book series, follows an ice hockey team and the women in their lives as they navigate adulthood. Season 1, which premiered in May, faced criticism for sex scenes involving Bright, then 18, and Cameli. Bright clarified that nudity requirements differed between her character Hannah and another character, Allie, based on their backstories and personalities.

Creator Louisa Levy confirmed she discussed the show's content with Bright before finalizing her contract. Levy stated that Bright had read the book and was comfortable with the storyline. The production also utilized an intimacy coordinator to ensure all actors involved in intimate scenes felt secure and respected, with Levy emphasizing that no one was ever made uncomfortable.
