- Hendrix determined to return to the ballroom next week if she advances

On October 28, 2025, it was revealed that Elaine Hendrix, the "Parent Trap" actor, had been hospitalized after sustaining a rib injury during rehearsals for "Dancing With the Stars." In her pre-performance package, Hendrix was seen experiencing intense pain in her ribs while practicing with her partner, Alan Bersten.
"Elaine and I were dancing and all of a sudden, Elaine kind of froze and said she can't move and she can't breathe and something happened with her rib," Bersten said. Hendrix herself described the injury, saying, "I feel like my muscle is twisted under my ribs."
Despite the setback, Hendrix was cleared by doctors to stay in the competition. However, due to her inability to perform, she was judged on her last full rehearsal, where she received a score of 32 out of 40 from the judges.
Hendrix, who had been excited to perform a tango to "Bad to the Bone" on Halloween Night, expressed her disappointment but remained determined to return to the ballroom the following week if she advanced. "With your support, I'll be back in the ballroom next week. I want nothing more. I'm sending all my love to Alan and the entire Dancing with the Stars team," she said in an Instagram post from her hospital bed.
