11 Nov
Summary
- 'Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat' slowing down near end of theatrical run
- Film clashed with 'Thamma' on Diwali, but managed to cross ₹75 crore
- 'Thamma' underperformed, leading to underwhelming Diwali box office

As of 2025-11-11T00:17:55+00:00, the Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa-starrer 'Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat' has begun to slow down at the box office, nearing the end of its theatrical run. The film, which had clashed with 'Thamma' on Diwali, has now managed to touch the ₹75 crore mark, proving to be a dark horse hit despite having much fewer screens.
While 'Ek Deewana Ki Deewaniyat' has outperformed expectations, the combined Diwali box office total of around ₹200 crore nett for both films is considered underwhelming, largely due to the underperformance of 'Thamma'. The Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer 'Thamma' has struggled to gain traction, with its total collection now standing at ₹131.40 crore.
Despite the mixed results, this Diwali frame has fared better than the recent Eid and Independence Day weeks, thanks to the surprise success of 'Ek Deewana Ki Deewaniyat'. The film's second-week total came in at ₹16.3 crore, and it continued to show unexpected growth on the Saturday of its third week, a holiday, collecting ₹1.25 crore. However, the film's momentum has since slowed, with its third Monday (day 21) seeing its lowest numbers yet.
