Matthew Gray Gubler stars as the great-grandson of Albert Einstein in a new series. This brilliant but aimless professor finds himself assisting a police detective, played by Melissa Fumero, with her most challenging cases. The show was initially ordered by CBS in April 2025, but its debut was postponed to the 2026-2027 broadcast season.
Keeley Ellis-Taylor has joined the cast as Captain Frost, a veteran police officer with extensive field experience who is counting down to her retirement. Ellis-Taylor brings a notable career, including Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for her role in "King Richard" and two Emmy nominations.
The series, developed by Andy Breckman, is based on a German format. Originally, Rosa Salazar was set to star, but Fumero stepped into the role. Production is underway at CBS Studios, with multiple executive producers overseeing the project.
