Actress Brought Baby to Iconic Friends Audition

E.G. Daily, 64, recently shared the story behind her memorable guest role on the popular sitcom Friends. She explained that she was newly postpartum when her agent called about a last-minute audition.

Daily recalled being hesitant due to just returning home from the hospital but agreed to audition after her agent urged her to. She brought her baby in a car seat and her guitar to the late-night audition, impressing the producers with her singing and guitar skills.

She was cast and had to arrange for childcare to film the episode. Daily expressed gratitude for the opportunity, noting that fans still recognize her from the "Smelly Cat" episode nearly three decades later.

The actress also reminisced about the full-circle moment of having Robby Benson, an actor she admired from 'Ice Castles,' direct her episode. Daily feels fortunate to have seized opportunities throughout her career, impacting audiences through various projects, including acting, voice work, and music.
