Television personality Edwina Bartholomew, 42, and her husband Neil Varcoe have embarked on a new entrepreneurial journey, acquiring a cafe in the Central West of New South Wales. The establishment, named The Village Grocer, is located in the town of Carcoar.
This new venture is strategically linked to their ongoing project of converting a country pub into a luxury guesthouse known as Saltash Farm. The cafe is scheduled to open its doors on the upcoming Sunday, with plans to emphasize local produce.
Bartholomew has stated that The Village Grocer will operate in conjunction with Saltash Farm, supplying items from the farm's organic kitchen garden and other produce. This integration aims to ensure the success of both businesses and contribute to the vibrancy of the local community.
The couple also own Warramba, a 42-hectare farm retreat in the Blue Mountains, which they purchased and restored starting in January 2016. This existing property offers a rural getaway experience.
