Summary
- Annual fireworks show was reinstated after community support.
- Event faced cancellation due to operational and facility challenges.
- Funds raised will support emergency medical response services.

The Easton Volunteer EMS has successfully reinstated its annual fireworks celebration, scheduled for this Saturday at Samuel Staples School Field. This beloved event was initially canceled on July 27 due to "significant operational and facility challenges." The organization cited the immense volunteer hours, extensive preparation, and substantial financial resources required, which could potentially compromise their primary mission of emergency medical response.
However, within days of the cancellation announcement, the Easton Volunteer EMS received an outpouring of support. Messages of encouragement from residents, local businesses, and community leaders, along with offers to volunteer and pledges of financial assistance, prompted the organization to reverse its decision. The fireworks display will proceed, with doors opening at 5 p.m. Admission is $40 per car or $10 for walk-ins, and attendees can enjoy food trucks and music before the fireworks commence after sundown.
