Summary
- Mason Thames voices Dick Grayson, Logan Kim voices Jason Todd.
- Film features orphans and childhood friends torn apart by destiny.
- New release date set for September 22, 2028.
Mason Thames has been cast as Dick Grayson, a.k.a. Robin, in the animated DC Comics film "Dynamic Duo." Logan Kim will voice Jason Todd, who becomes the second Robin before his transformation into the anti-hero Red Hood. This cinematic adaptation diverges from comic canon, portraying Grayson and Todd as orphaned childhood friends separated by fate.
Bruce Wayne adopts Grayson, making him Robin, while Todd becomes involved with the Red Hood Gang. Lee Pace and Steve Buscemi are confirmed to voice Red Hood One and Red Hood Two, respectively, as part of this gang. The film, directed by Arthur Mintz, is set for release on September 22, 2028.
"Dynamic Duo" combines computer animation, models, and large-scale puppetry. It is a collaborative effort between Warner Bros. Pictures Animation, Matt Reeves' 6th and Idaho, DC Studios, and Swaybox Studios. The potential for Thames and Kim to reprise their roles in the live-action DCU remains uncertain, especially considering James Gunn's vision for a connected franchise across media.
