Comedian feels DWTS pressure ahead of ballroom debut

Comedian Connor Wood is stepping onto the ballroom floor for the upcoming season 35 of Dancing With the Stars, and he's feeling the heat. Wood, also known as Fibula, is partnered with Rylee Arnold, a professional dancer heading into her fourth season on the show. He shared with Entertainment Weekly that the pressure is on because he is "locked in" and eager to perform exceptionally well.

Wood and Arnold are focused on their routines, with Wood joking about the possibility of receiving low scores from judges like Derek Hough. Hough has previously expressed giving a score of three, a prospect that Wood is trying not to dwell on. Judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli have also noted giving out scores as low as a two in the past, though Inaba mentioned her lowest was a four, showing a degree of leniency.

Arnold, 21, is excited about her partnership with Wood, noting their immediate comfort and enjoyable dynamic. She is known for pushing her partners to achieve their best. The show's two-night premiere is scheduled for Tuesday, September 15, and Wednesday, September 16, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Disney+.
