Dwayne Johnson Eyes Broadway Debut

Dwayne Johnson has been actively working towards a Broadway debut for almost three years. Initially, he and longtime friend Kevin Hart planned to stage Neil Simon's classic play "The Odd Couple" with producer Jeffrey Seller. However, Hart's packed schedule for the next three to five years has made this collaboration unfeasible for the present.

Despite this setback, Johnson has not abandoned his theatrical aspirations. He continues to collaborate with producer Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail, the team behind the live-action "Moana." While the specifics of their next project are yet to be finalized, Johnson expressed openness to various possibilities, including musicals, suggesting a potential return to the stage in a dynamic new role.

Johnson's connection to theatrical performance is further highlighted by his voice role as Maui in Disney's "Moana" and his upcoming appearance in the live-action adaptation. He will also be seen reuniting with Kevin Hart in "Jumanji: Open World," slated for release on Christmas 2026.
