AMC Theatres is rolling out two new popcorn bucket designs for the highly anticipated Dune: Part Three, building on the viral phenomenon of the previous sandworm bucket. These new collectibles, the Sandworm Thumper Collectible and the Double Sandworm Collectible, are inspired by designs directly from the film.
The company's SVP of Food & Beverage stated that the goal was to exceed fan expectations following the immense popularity and humorous reception of the Dune: Part Two bucket. Both new buckets will be offered with a large popcorn at AMC theaters in the United States.
Additionally, Odeon Cinemas throughout Europe will also sell these unique items. AMC plans to release further Dune: Part Three merchandise, including drinkware and plush toys, with pricing for the bucket to be announced closer to the film's December 18 release date. Collectible movie merchandise has proven to be a significant revenue driver for theaters.
