Dua Lipa Stuns Cannes in Avant-Garde LBD

Dua Lipa has arrived in Cannes, immediately making a significant fashion impact at a May 16th after-party. The event celebrated the premiere of the film Paper Tiger during the Cannes Film Festival.

Lipa showcased a dramatic, avant-garde little black dress from the Jacquemus Fall/Winter 2026 collection. This striking ensemble featured long sleeves, a fitted scoop neck bodice, and an angular drop waist.

The dress's midiskirt was adorned with looping, shredded pieces layered over a white underlay, creating a dynamic, pom-pom-like visual effect. She complemented the modern design with strappy heeled sandals and wore her hair long and straight, finishing her look with a rosy makeup palette and a deep, dusty red lip.

Earlier on the same day, Lipa shared images of herself wearing the same dress while visiting the Foundation Maeght, an art gallery located in Saint Paul de Vence. She posed both outside the museum and among its contemporary art installations.

This appearance follows another notable fashion moment upon her arrival at the festival, where she wore a sheer purple corset dress paired with hot pink heels and a matching bag. In 2023, Lipa was last seen at the festival for a screening of Omar la Fraise, a film produced by her then-partner Romain Gavras.
