Dua Lipa Electrifies PrEP Day with Surprise Performance

Last night, October 10, 2025, Dua Lipa took the stage at a dazzling celebration in West Hollywood to mark the first-ever National PrEP Day. The event, hosted by Mistr, a company aimed at making PrEP free or affordable for all, featured a star-studded crowd and performances by drag icons like Symone, Plastique Tiara, and Aquaria.

Lipa surprised the audience with an electrifying set, performing her hits "New Rules" and "Don't Start Now" alongside her Radical Optimism tour dancers. She then joined the drag queens for a celebratory rendition of "Houdini," marking Mistr's milestone of helping 10,000 new people start PrEP, a daily pill or occasional shot that protects the body from HIV.

In an interview backstage, Lipa expressed her passion for Mistr's mission to end the HIV epidemic in the United States. "I think there is a lot of stigma around [HIV and sexually transmitted infections]," she said. "And I think if we can de-stigmatize what it means to get the right healthcare for HIV... I want to believe that there is hope that it can be completely eradicated."
