Music composer Devi Sri Prasad, widely known as DSP, is set to make his acting debut in the upcoming film titled 'Yellamma'. The makers have announced that the film will have its theatrical release worldwide on March 5, 2027, coinciding with Dussehra wishes to the fans.
DSP will be seen in a new avatar, portraying the lead character named Parshi. The film is written and directed by Venu Yeldandi, who previously helmed 'Balagam'. 'Yellamma' is currently in production and is presented by Dil Raju under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. The movie was initially announced in January 2026, and a glimpse showcasing its rural setting has already been released.
While embarking on his acting journey, Devi Sri Prasad continues his successful career as a music composer. He recently won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction for 'Pushpa: The Rise'. His upcoming musical projects include 'Pushpa 2: The Rule', 'Thandel', and 'King100', as well as co-composing for 'Golmaal 5'.
