The iconic home of Vijay Salgaonkar, a central element in the Drishyam trilogy, is a century-old Portuguese-inspired bungalow located in Ucassaim, North Goa. This property, which has housed Vijay's family since the first film's release on July 31, 2015, has evolved to reflect the family's narrative. Initially featuring warm yellow walls, the interiors were later painted in blue-grey tones in the second installment, mirroring the growing threats and emotional turmoil faced by the family. These interior design choices remained consistent through the final film.
Beyond its role as a backdrop, the 'Drishyam Movie House' is a private property managed by an 85-year-old caretaker. Ucassaim itself was a prominent shooting location for "Drishyam: The Conclusion," with a local medical college famously depicted as the Goa Police Headquarters. Additional sequences for the trilogy were filmed in Panaji, with recognizable landmarks like Mumbai's Bandra-Worli Sea Link appearing in some scenes, while indoor shoots took place at Yash Raj Films Studios in Andheri West.
