Romy, who admires franchise star Mohanlal, expressed eagerness to watch 'Drishyam 3' due to its widespread acclaim. She described 'Karakkam' as a light-hearted film featuring a group of ghosts trying to return to the living world, with a distinct 80s musical and dance influence.
'Drishyam 3' has achieved significant box office success, grossing Rs 76.18 crore worldwide within two days. The film garnered Rs 26.90 crore net in India and Rs 45 crore overseas, with Kerala showing particularly strong performance. 'Karakkam' is set to release on May 28.
'Karakkam', directed by Nipin Narayanan, stars Shaun Romy as Rani Mariya alongside Sreenath Bhasi and Pravin. The film's music is composed by Sam C. S., and it is being promoted as Malayalam cinema's first musical horror-comedy.
