PVR INOX Cinemas is delighting fans of the Drishyam franchise with a special offer coinciding with the release of 'Drishyam The Conclusion.' To celebrate the film's arrival on October 2, the cinema chain announced that patrons buying four tickets will receive a free plate of Pav Bhaji. This promotion cleverly references the popular culinary motif that became a memorable element of the franchise.
The initiative taps into the audience's fondness for the recurring Pav Bhaji mentions in the films, which have also spawned popular memes. The release date itself, October 2, holds significance as the day the Salgaonkar family claims to have enjoyed the dish in the original movie.
Director Abhishek Pathak acknowledged the cultural impact of the Pav Bhaji references. While he deferred decisions on specific marketing tie-ups to the team, he expressed optimism that audiences would enjoy both the film and the subsequent culinary experience, suggesting that potential collaborations with Pav Bhaji vendors are a possibility.
This creative marketing strategy aims to enhance the audience's overall experience, blending cinematic entertainment with a popular local delicacy, and further cementing the Drishyam franchise's unique connection with its viewers.
