Actor Mistaken for Criminal During Beach Filming

During the filming of the Apple TV+ series 'Lucky,' actor Drew Starkey and stunt double Hayley Wright experienced a startling encounter with local law enforcement. While capturing a driving scene on a beach, police officers approached their vehicle, mistakenly believing them to be engaged in illicit activity.

The use of a long lens for filming meant the production crew was positioned at a considerable distance, making it unclear to the approaching officer that a movie was in progress. Wright, who was driving, quickly informed the officer about the filming.

Fortunately, the confusion was swiftly resolved when production assistants arrived on the scene to explain the situation. Anya Taylor-Joy, who also stars in the series, commented on the incident, highlighting how the performers had to clarify that the events were part of a film production.
