Production has recently wrapped on 'The Dregs,' a horror film where a friends' getaway to the Italian Alps turns deadly. The core of the terror is a cursed bottle of Grappa, a traditional Italian spirit.
Central to the plot is a bitter Alpine waiter, portrayed as the antagonist. His family's secret recipe for Grappa is revealed to involve elements of alchemy and witchcraft, hinting at the source of the curse.
Several new actors have joined the cast, including David Goren, Desiree Staples, Evan Bittencourt, Kheon Clarke, Fletcher Donovan, Quinnie Vu, and Mike Stern. Stern also developed the project and is a producer.
The film also features Benjamin Norris, Marta Pozzan, Maria Grazia Cucinotta, and Zach Tinker. Connor Martin makes his directorial debut, working from his own script, and serves as a producer. A wide array of other producers and cast members are also credited.
