Drake has set a new personal milestone on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. His album ICEMAN has now held the number one position for 13 weeks, surpassing his previous record of 12 weeks held by Take Care.
ICEMAN achieved its 13th week at No. 1 by earning 41,000 equivalent album units in the United States for the week of August 21-27. This performance kept it ahead of Michael Jackson's Thriller, which landed at No. 2 with 31,000 units.
This latest achievement makes ICEMAN Drake's sole-longest leader on the chart. His 2011 album, Take Care, previously held his personal best with a dozen weeks at the summit in 2011-2012.
Drake also recorded his 17th No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart with ICEMAN, equaling the record held by The Temptations. The album also extends his record on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart with two new No. 1s.
ICEMAN is also a dominant force on other charts, securing its 13th week at No. 1 on Top Rap Albums and holding steady at No. 9 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
