The "Dragon Ball Super" anime is undergoing a complete reconstruction, with an extensively remastered version slated for a fall 2026 premiere. Titled "Dragon Ball Super: Beerus," this enhanced edition will feature comprehensive visual upgrades, new animation cuts, and entirely re-rendered footage. Audiences can also expect freshly recorded voice acting and a revamped musical score and sound design.
The production aims for greater fidelity to creator Akira Toriyama's original work. The story follows the God of Destruction Beerus awakening and focusing on Earth after learning of a Saiyan who defeated Frieza, setting the stage for a conflict with Goku and his allies. This reconstruction promises a heightened visual experience, particularly in its action sequences.
During the same event, the franchise also unveiled "Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol," a new anime series that will continue the storyline after the "Universe Survival Arc." The "Dragon Ball" franchise, originating in 1984, continues to be a major global entertainment property.
