Darlene Mitchell, a 34-year-old alum of RuPaul's Drag Race, exchanged vows with Branden Marcus, also 34, on March 28. The couple celebrated their union in an intimate wedding ceremony at SmogShoppe in Culver City, California, with approximately 100 guests present.

The venue, chosen for its desert-inspired ambiance, was transformed with a maximalist aesthetic. This design embraced antiques and oddities, drawing inspiration from the retro glamour of the Madonna Inn and the irreverence of John Waters. Aerial fringe installations and disco ball accents further enhanced the unique atmosphere.

Distinguishing elements of the celebration included the couple reading their vows from DVD cases of favorite films, such as Steel Magnolias for Darlene and Romy and Michele's High School Reunion for Branden. They also sported matching H Bar C pinstripe suits, accessorized with emerald details.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with signature drinks and passed appetizers, followed by a family-style meal. The dessert featured a three-tier vintage-inspired cake and an armadillo cake, a nod to Steel Magnolias.
