Summary
- A Dr. Quinn reboot planned for the 2020s was ultimately rejected.
- The potential plot involved the main couple drifting apart.
- Stars Jane Seymour and Joe Lando discussed the scrapped revival.
Jane Seymour and Joe Lando, stars of the former CBS Western "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman," shared insights into a reboot that never materialized. This revival, which was being considered in the 2020s, would have depicted the titular characters in new life stages.
Lando indicated that the scrapped revival's narrative would have explored the couple drifting apart, a contrast to previous seasons where conflict stemmed from external threats. Seymour suggested this would have offered "ultimate drama and romance."
"Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" originally aired for six seasons from 1993 to 1998, with subsequent movie sequels in 1999 and 2001.
