In a significant development for Miami's entertainment landscape, the Doral Amphitheater has officially opened its doors. The new concert and event venue, located in the heart of Doral, is poised to revolutionize the city's Latin music scene.
The inauguration of the Doral Amphitheater took place on October 14th, 2025, during a private event in Miami. Leila Cobo, Billboard's chief content officer for Latin/Español, served as the evening's host, highlighting the venue's importance. "This is the first new music venue built in Miami in 20 years," Cobo remarked. "The fact that it's centered around Latin music is so profoundly significant."
The evening's highlight was a captivating performance by the renowned Latin music group Gente de Zona, who took the stage with a seven-piece band and four dancers. The group delivered some of their biggest hits, including "Hablame de Miami," "La Guagua," "Bailando," and "La Gozadera," showcasing the venue's state-of-the-art acoustics and production capabilities.
According to Nelson Albareda, CEO of Loud and Live, the company responsible for operating the venue's programming, marketing, ticketing, and event production, the Doral Amphitheater is a "visionary project" that aims to "enrich the culture and social fabric of this community, where music, business and entertainment come together." The open-air venue, which can accommodate both seated and standing general admission, as well as VIP box seating, is poised to host a diverse array of events, from touring artists to cultural festivals and civic gatherings.
