Lundgren Reveals Stallone Hospitalization After 'Rocky IV'

In his new memoir, Dolph Lundgren recounts the intense filming of 'Rocky IV,' revealing that Sylvester Stallone was hospitalized following a particularly brutal scene. Lundgren explained that Stallone, who was also the writer and director, had requested him to hit hard during their fight sequences.

After multiple takes of delivering heavy blows to Stallone's body, Lundgren learned that Stallone had been admitted to the hospital. Stallone later described the impact as being hit by 'a streetcar named Drago' due to his heart bruising against his breastbone. This incident required Stallone to spend four days in intensive care.

The 'Rocky IV' filming experience, though intense, ultimately launched Lundgren's career as an action star.
