Dollywood Honors Dolly Parton With New Tributes

Dollywood has announced significant upcoming exhibits, experiences, and park expansions designed to honor the late Dolly Parton and continue her vision. Parks & Resorts President Eugene Naughton revealed these plans, emphasizing that Parton had approved developments through 2036. These initiatives include a walkable tribute in Sevierville titled "In Dolly's Footsteps," and ongoing tributes within the park, such as the "I Will Always Love You" banners.

The "Dolly Parton Experience" multimedia walkthrough, launched in 2024, will be expanded with new content, including a video narrated by her family and an enhanced "I Will Always Love You" room. A new character, the Dream Maker, will be introduced to Wildwood Grove to embody Parton's spirit of dreaming big and storytelling for younger guests. A new Tribute Center will also allow visitors to share memories.

Further enhancements include a transformed Chapel area featuring a cascading mountainside waterfall and new stained-glass windows, reflecting Parton's life and influences. A sculpted guitar will also be installed for reflection. Many of these new attractions are expected to open around March 2027, with resort developments also approved by Parton prior to her passing.

The park has remained open as a place of joy and hope since Parton's death, continuing her legacy. Naughton expressed confidence that Dollywood will not only maintain its founder's spirit but also evolve and improve, honoring her memory through music, shared dreams, and a commitment to getting better every day.
