Dolly Parton Shines at New Truck Stop Opening

Country music icon Dolly Parton recently made a public appearance at the grand opening of her new truck stop, "Cup of Ambition," located in Cornersville. This event occurred just weeks after the cancellation of her Las Vegas residency. The "Jolene" singer, who is 80 years old, cut the ribbon at the new establishment, which offers BBQ and coffee, before departing after a brief appearance.

Parton had postponed her Las Vegas performances in October 2025, citing an unspecified illness. Prior to this, in the month preceding the postponement, she had revealed to the public that she was suffering from kidney stones. In a keynote speech at her theme park, Dollywood, in March, Parton described feeling "worn down and worn out" over recent months due to "a few little health issues."

In May, after announcing the cancellation of her residency, Parton shared a video update, stating that while she was responding well to treatments and improving daily, the medication was causing her to feel "swimmy-headed." This made her unable to perform at her usual stage-ready level. She expressed gratitude to her fans for their unwavering support during this period. As of now, no new tour or concert dates have been announced by the legendary singer.
