The life and spiritual legacy of Sant Dnyaneshwar were vividly presented through the "Dnyaneshwar Mauli" audio-visual production in Nagpur. This event, held on a Sunday, celebrated Ashadhi Ekadashi and the saint's 750th birth anniversary, immersing the audience in the Warkari tradition with devotional music and performances.
The production highlighted key moments from Sant Dnyaneshwar's life, including the famous moving wall episode and the miracle of a buffalo reciting Vedas. It also depicted his spiritual journey culminating in his Sanjeevan Samadhi. The musical renditions of popular abhangs by Manjiri Vaidya Iyer and Aditya Sawarkar, along with a live portrayal of the Wari, were major attractions.
Further extending the celebrations, a Warkari Dindi is scheduled for Saturday, organized by multiple trusts and educational bodies. This procession will see over 3,000 students participating in traditional attire, commencing from Shankar Nagar and flagged off by revenue minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
