Summary
- The Division 3's roadmap is fully planned, assuring fans.
- The game's future remains unchanged after a producer's departure.
- The Division 2 was nearly free-to-play but the idea was rejected.

Ubisoft has provided reassurance regarding the development of The Division 3, confirming that its roadmap has been meticulously planned and secured. This update follows the recent departure of the game's executive producer, Julian Gerighty, who moved to EA. Senior producer Fredrik Brönjemark emphasized that Gerighty's exit will not derail the project, stating that the team is proceeding with a clear, pre-established future plan.
Furthermore, The Division 2's creative director, Yannick Banchereau, expressed confidence that the franchise can thrive for another decade. Banchereau also disclosed that the development team had considered transitioning The Division 2 to a free-to-play model. However, this option was ultimately rejected as the current monetization strategy was deemed highly effective and suitable for the game's existing player base.
