Disney's $410M Snow White Fails to Break Even at Box Office
26 Oct
Summary
- Disney's live-action Snow White had a massive $410M budget
- The film earned only $205.6M worldwide, far below its breakeven target
- Snow White earned just 30% of what it needed to break even

In March 2025, Disney released its highly anticipated live-action remake of the classic fairy tale Snow White. However, the film has now emerged as one of the biggest disappointments of the year.
Produced on a gigantic budget of around $410 million, the fantasy musical failed to recoup its costs at the global box office. According to the latest figures, Snow White earned only $205.6 million worldwide, including $87.2 million domestically and $118.3 million from international markets.
To break even, a film typically needs to earn 2.5 times its production budget. For Snow White, with a production budget of $269 million, that would have required a worldwide gross of approximately $673 million - a target the film fell woefully short of, earning nearly $468 million less.
By the time it left theaters, Snow White had managed to earn only about 30% of what it needed to break even, a dismal performance that will likely result in significant financial losses for Disney.
