Disney+ is developing a new project focused on the beloved character Tinker Bell, marking it as a high-priority initiative for the streamer. This latest venture, titled "Tink," is being brought to life by writers and executive producers Liz Heldens and Bridget Carpenter.
This is not the first attempt to bring "Tink" to the screen in a live-action format. Previous iterations were announced in 2010, with Elizabeth Banks attached, and again in 2015, with Reese Witherspoon initially set to star. Most recently, Yara Shahidi portrayed Tinker Bell in the 2023 film "Peter Pan and Wendy."
The current "Tink" development is a drama series at Disney+ under the banner of 20th Television. Joining Heldens and Carpenter as executive producers are Gary Marsh, former president of Disney Channels Worldwide, and Quinn Haberman of Selfish Mermaid. Heldens has an extensive writing and producing background, while Carpenter is known for her work on various acclaimed television series and theater productions.
