9 May
Summary
- Disney Adventure cruise canceled after passengers boarded.
- Technical issue cited as reason for ship's delayed departure.
- Passengers receive full refunds and future cruise discounts.
The Disney Adventure, Disney Cruise Line's largest ship, has encountered significant operational challenges during its initial season in Singapore. Despite extensive preparations and a delayed launch, the 6,700-passenger vessel has faced issues affecting the passenger experience since its March debut.
Most recently, the scheduled May 7-11, 2026, voyage was canceled after passengers had already boarded. Disney Cruise Line cited a technical issue as the reason, preventing the ship from setting sail from the Marina Bay Cruise Centre. Affected passengers were asked to disembark.
Disney Cruise Line is offering full refunds and 50% off a future cruise to those impacted by the cancellation. Additionally, the cruise line is covering hotel stays and flight changes, along with providing up to $500 per stateroom for incidentals. The ship is currently undergoing repairs in Singapore. The subsequent sailing on May 11 is anticipated to proceed as scheduled.
