Gnome Apocalypse Unleashed on Disney+

Disney+ has acquired the rights to the Australian series Gnomes for the UK and Ireland. The six-part series, co-produced by Total Fiction and Screen Invaders, features Asa Butterfield as Senior Sergeant Arnold Kipps. Kipps' mundane life in the town of Nompton, the 'Home of the Gnome,' is disrupted when he accidentally awakens an ancient Gnome Queen. This awakening unleashes a full-scale ceramic apocalypse, forcing Kipps and his ex-partner Ellie McKay to lead an army of misfits and demon hunters against a horde of destructive garden gnomes.

AMC Global Media has secured rights for Spain and Portugal. The series, created by Joel Kohn, was recently featured at the Series Mania Forum and has been praised for its unique blend of comedy and horror. Executive producers include Holly A. Hines and Eric Jarboe for Happy Accidents, alongside John Molloy and Richard Kelly for Total Fiction. Tegan Higginbotham serves as writer and also stars as Kipps' police partner.
