Director Aditya Dhar publicly addressed an AI-generated image of actor Ranveer Singh smoking while wearing a turban, calling it a deliberate act to provoke mischief. This clarification followed a complaint lodged by Sikhs in Maharashtra, who found the image offensive and disrespectful to Sikh sentiments.
Dhar expressed his profound respect for the Sikh community, assuring that their portrayal in the film 'Dhurandhar 2' was handled with utmost sensitivity. He condemned the manipulation of promotional material using artificial intelligence to spread false narratives.
"This fabricated image... is completely untrue and does not form part of the film," Dhar stated, urging the public to trust only official content. He threatened firm action against those responsible for disseminating such doctored visuals with ulterior motives.
The complaint detailed how the poster allegedly violates Sikh principles by showing sacred symbols alongside a cigarette. The organization requested the removal of the poster and legal action against those involved.
