Director Denies 'Amaran' & 'OM' Reshoot Rumors

Director Rajkumar Periyasamy has issued a firm rebuttal to circulating rumors concerning reshoots for his films 'Amaran' and the upcoming 'OM.' He directly addressed social media speculation that 'Amaran' was undergoing extensive reshoots based on producer Kamal Haasan's suggestions, and that 'OM' was also being re-filmed.

In a public statement, Periyasamy unequivocally denied these claims, questioning the motive behind spreading fake narratives. He highlighted that Kamal Haasan, upon viewing 'Amaran' during post-production, offered only appreciation and tears, not directorial advice. Haasan reportedly provided complete creative freedom for 'Amaran.'

Periyasamy voiced his dismay at the recurring attempts to discredit a filmmaker's dedicated work. He noted this was the third instance of similar allegations, emphasizing that reshoots are complex, costly, and require significant planning. He urged an end to misleading reports that overshadow the collective efforts of filmmaking teams.

The director's clarification puts an end to speculation regarding 'Amaran.' Attention now turns to 'OM,' a highly anticipated Tamil film starring Dhanush, Mammootty, Sai Pallavi, and Sreeleela, scheduled for release in October.
