- Satluj, formerly Punjab '95, examines Khalra's fight for disappeared individuals.

Diljit Dosanjh accepted a token fee of Re 1 to portray human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra in the film Satluj. Director Honey Trehan revealed that Dosanjh's participation was crucial, stating the film would not have been made otherwise. Trehan opted for Dosanjh, a Sikh actor, to maintain authenticity and honor Khalra's journey, eschewing mainstream Bollywood stars.
Trehan met Dosanjh at Amritsar airport in January 2021, where the actor expressed deep admiration for Khalra. Dosanjh was visibly moved upon receiving the research materials for the role. When discussing remuneration, Dosanjh insisted on the Re 1 fee, deeming it shameful to charge for playing such a significant figure.
The film, previously known as Punjab '95, follows Khalra's efforts to seek justice for thousands who disappeared during crackdowns in Punjab's insurgency period. Satluj was released on ZEE5 on July 3 but was subsequently removed from the platform within two days of its debut.
