Diljit Dosanjh's Vocals Elevate 'Kantara' Rebel Song, Composer Calls Collaboration "Amazing"

In a recent development, the Hindi version of the song 'Rebel' from the critically acclaimed film 'Kantara Chapter 1' features the vocals of Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh. Composer Ajaneesh Loknath, who worked on the track, has shared insights on this collaboration, describing it as an "amazing experience".

The song 'Rebel' plays a pivotal moment in the film, as Rishab Shetty's character Berme and his clan send a warning to King Kulashekara, portrayed by Gulshan Devaiah. Ajaneesh Loknath revealed that the song required intense vocal performances, including screams and grunting noises, to convey the desired strength and intensity. Recognizing the need for a skilled vocalist, the composer believed Punjabi singers would be the perfect fit for the task.

Ajaneesh's suggestion to involve Diljit Dosanjh was readily accepted by director Rishab Shetty and the Hombale Films team. The composer praised Diljit's humble and collaborative approach during the recording sessions, noting that the singer never made him feel like a star and even brought a harmonium to learn the tune. Ajaneesh and Rishab were left in awe upon hearing Diljit's powerful vocals, which perfectly captured the essence of the song.
