Oscar-nominated songwriter Diane Warren will pen the original song for the upcoming biopic "Armani: The King of Fashion." Directed by Bille August, the film aims to be a cinematic portrait of Giorgio Armani's life and enduring influence.
The movie will delve into Armani's transformation from his beginnings in Piacenza to becoming a global symbol of Italian excellence. It will highlight his vision, independence, and the unmistakable aesthetic that transcended generations.
This project marks a reunion for Warren with producer Andrea Iervolino, who previously collaborated on "Tell It Like A Woman." Iervolino expressed his enthusiasm for Warren's ability to capture emotional truths in music.
However, the Armani Group and family announced this summer that they have not authorized the planned biopic and will not participate in its creation. Giorgio Armani passed away on September 4, 2026, at the age of 91.
