The action-packed film 'Dhurandhar - The Revenge' is scheduled for its television debut on Sunday, October 18, at 7:00 pm. To comply with broadcast standards, the movie was re-edited from its original 'A' rating for theatrical release. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) reviewed the film and issued a U/A 16+ certificate on September 24, following extensive modifications.
Reportedly, between 45 to 50 cuts were made, primarily focusing on reducing violent and gory content. Despite these edits, the filmmakers ensured the film's core impact remained intact. The revised U/A 16+ version has a runtime of 3 hours, 39 minutes, approximately 10 minutes shorter than the original theatrical cut.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the 'Dhurandhar' franchise stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. The spy thriller follows an Indian agent infiltrating a dangerous Karachi gang. Both 'Dhurandhar' (2025) and 'Dhurandhar - The Revenge' (2026) achieved significant box office success.
