Jio Studios announced the film's continued success on January 17, highlighting its "record-breaking run."
Over its first six weeks, Dhurandhar garnered significant revenue, starting with ₹218 crore in Week 1 and showing sustained popularity through subsequent weeks. Actor Suniel Shetty recently praised the lead actors, describing Ranveer Singh's performance as "100 out of 10" and Akshaye Khanna's as "10 on 10."
Dhurandhar draws inspiration from major real-life geopolitical events, including the 1999 IC-814 hijacking and the 2008 Mumbai attacks. A sequel, Dhurandhar 2, is anticipated to release on March 19.
