Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, has achieved an unprecedented box office success, becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025 worldwide with earnings exceeding ₹1,300 crore. The spy action saga demonstrated remarkable speed by crossing the ₹1,000 crore mark globally in just 21 days, a record for any Hindi film.
The film's theatrical run, which began on December 5, 2025, was marked by a series of broken records. It secured the biggest opening day for Ranveer Singh, earning ₹28 crore in India, and achieved the highest second Sunday collection in Hindi cinema history with ₹59 crore.
Dhurandhar also set new benchmarks for speed, becoming the fastest Hindi film to reach ₹500 crore domestically in 16 days and achieving similar rapid milestones worldwide. Its overseas performance was equally strong, contributing close to ₹300 crore internationally.
Beyond its financial achievements, the film also marked career milestones for its lead actor and director. It became Ranveer Singh's highest-grossing film and surpassed the success of Aditya Dhar's directorial debut, Uri: The Surgical Strike. The film's success has paved the way for a sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, slated for release on March 19, 2026.
